<p>I'm having my Rice interview this Friday (at a Barnes and Noble). What should I wear? Is a polo shirt and khakis fine, or should I wear something more formal? I really do not want to go there wearing a suit, but I wanted to know if a dress shirt or a tie or dress pants would be a better fit. Thanks!</p>

<p>Polo and slacks, button down and slacks, polo and nice jeans should be fine. I would advise the first two if at all possible. The interview will be casual, so relax and be yourself.</p>

<p>My son went straight from high school to his interview - at a coffee shop - and didn’t change. He was super informal, including his jeans and black Keds. He got in.</p>
<p>My interviewer wore a Rice T Shirt, I wore a jacket, dress shirt, and dress pants. Terribly overdressed. That said, just wow them with your dazzling smile and personality and you’ll be fine.</p>
