Interview dress code...

I read the post about the dress code for most schools, but I figured I'd ask anyways.

I have an interview on the 15th, and I usually wear jeans, birks and a t-shirt wherever I go. I feel (strongly) as though Swarthmore is the type of place where that is the norm, so I'm considering wearing something like that to the interview. However, I'm hesitant about going so casual, and am leaning towards black shoes, dockers, black belt and a black shirt...

Which way should I go? I don't wanna seem out of place at the school (because my normal dress really is what the student body seems to wear, I feel like I fit in), but I don't want to be under dressed and seem like I'm uninterested. Suggestions?

Go with the dockers. After you're a student at Swat, then you can go with the jeans and birks. (I'm a parent of a Swat junior-he wore dockers and a collared polo shirt to his interview.) Just one (wo)man's opinion.

Wearing jeans and a t-shirt wouldn't be the end of the world. But, for a scheduled interview, I'd probably go with the dockers and shirt.

Ok, that's what I was leaning towards. Thanks again. :)

My son also wore dockers and a polo shirt at his interview in summer '03. Just seems to make a better impression than the usual Swat dress code. Now that he's a soph there, he only wears jeans and t-shirts.
