<p>I just got a message for an interview from someone named Hyeson. He/She wants an email response and wrote formally so I'll have to reply formally. However, I cannot figure out, and I've googled this person, whether or not that is a male or a female. What do you respond with when you don't know the gender of the person? Hyeson???</p>
<p>Couldn't you just respond with 'Thank you for contacting me!', or something like that. I really don't think it would be inappropriate, even if they did write formally.</p>
<p>I was thinking about that but since it's a personal pet peeve of mine when emails have no greeting, I wasn't positive about it.</p>
<p>Yeah, but at least it's something neutral and won't get you into trouble if you guess wrong.</p>
