So I had an interview a few months back and I was asked about my previous work experience at a Medical Billing company that I've been working with for 2 years because I have it on my resume. The only thing I'm worried about when talking about it is the fact that my mom owns the small business, I basically work for her, and I got the job because I needed money so I asked if I could work for her. I told the interviewer that I heard of the job due to family connections and that's all I said as far finding/getting the job. Is that a positive or negative way to put it?

Do employers look down upon applicants who work for their parents? If they do, is there another way I talk about the job so that it isn't a problem?
