Ok, I’ve got an interview in two days… and I’d love to know how other people’s interviews have went. An alumni is visiting my school; it’s not a starbucks interview. I’d much appreciate any tips from people who have gone through an interview and any other advice. I don’t really need it; I’ve done other interviews before, but I’d like to here how others have went.

bumping this up...

I have an interview on thursday (at her law office, so definitely not informal) and I'd like to know how other interviews went, what sort of questions were asked, etc.

i had my interview at a starbucks... it went pretty well. I was surprised because my interviewerer did most of the talking. He talked about what's going on with Brown and things like that. He was a cool guy and I think he probably gave me a favorable recommendation. I don't remember many of the questions he asked, but it was nothing that caught me off guard. Mostly just how my year was going and what classes I was taking, and then why I liked Brown.

my interview was amazing. just be calm and talk about your interests etc. i asked them questions too, not just about brown but about their job and stuff. it just keeps the conversation chill and they may bring up a common point of interest that would have otherwise gone unnoticed.

Ok, I just had my interview. It went very well. For other soon-to-be interviewees out there, I'd say just be calm, be relaxed and really try to present yourself as best as possible. Focus on your interests and how they relate to Brown. That way, the interviewer can give the adcoms a very clear picture of how you'd fit in at Brown, and how an acceptance letter from Brown would benefit both you and Brown.

almostmidnight-- My interview was at her law office as well...definately dress nicely. Other than that, though, it wasn't exactly a "formal" interview...I mean, she asked me the usual questions about why I wanted to go to Brown, what I wanted from my college experience, etc., and we just had a conversation about my interests and such. It was intimidating at first, but nice :-)
