I requested an interview from two people in my area but neither were able to interview me. I didn't ask a third person because the deadline had passed. I wanted admissions to know that I had wanted an interview so I called and explained the situation and I was told to send an email. I did, but I got an automatic reply (on feb.11) which said I would hear back from a member of the staff when possible but I haven't heard back. Do you think admissions will see my not interviewing as a lack of interest? Should I do anything more?

My D had the exact same problem.

I don’t know if it’s a HUGE issue. I didn’t do one, and I was worried about it until they told me I had received the Cornelius Vanderbilt scholarship. So maybe it’s not that big of a deal. I think you’ve taken the best precautions though.

the interview is just an opportunity to show a side of your application that the admissions committee might not see. it certainly doesn’t hurt your chances by not scheduling one.

I got accepted to Vandy after trying to contact two people for an interview and never hearing back from them… I don’t think the lack of an interview will be detrimental

I completely forgot about scheduling an interview and I still got in (MOSAIC).

I didn’t worry. I didn’t bother to interview and I got in EDII
