Interview? Location?

Does anyone know if it hurts your chances NOT to have an interview?
I know it's not required but did most people who were accepted have one?

Who has not done an interview?

Also, I know this was discussed before but any clarification would be helpful-
How much more or less of a chance for acceptance has to do with where you
live? For example, if you live in a state where there may be only one or two
people applying do you have a greater or lesser chance?

Thanks for your help..........

I haven’t done an interview.

And as for state residency being a factor in admissions, I think it helps coming from a state with less kids applying to that one school. Like, I’m sure I’m only in a handful of kids applying ED1 from Nevada. If anything, the only one since the rest of my state goes to state colleges really. And then you have states like Massachusetts and New York who have hundreds of kids applying. I’m pretty sure Vassar wants to admit a variety of students from all over the US, but again, it really boils down to your academics and your essays.
