it’s in response to a thread that i posted about retaking a “low” 2290 which he posted a parody thread of…and also due to the fact that my score dropped to a 2270 the second time around…</p>
<p>and since i got an interview offer, and we’re trying to figure out what applicants get interviewed, emachined joked that they must not weight sat scores that much!!</p>

<p>fyi all applicants close to alumni get interviewed if the alumni wants to volunteer to do so. The quality of your application could be the worst of the 30k applications and you would still interview.</p>

<p>I was just wondering (and I’m sure this has been asked before, sorry), should will choosing to decline the interview hurt me? (I’ve already recieved and e-invite). I know Brown says it won’t on their website, but I feel as if this is directed more at the kids who didn’t have the chance to have an interview.</p>
<p>I had one student decline an interview. They say it has no effect, but to be honest I think it would affect me if I were an adcom.</p>

<p>I did let it go to voicemail but then they needed me to call back to confirm. I guess its less awkward that way but still annoying. My interviewer seems pretty nice though so it wasn’t too bad.</p>

<p>Are you from Suffolk? We just got an email from the head of BASC saying that Suffolk is getting slammed and needs additional people and are going to try to get alumni from across the country to Skype/phone in interviews.</p>
<p>i’m from suffolk county. on my call with my alumni interviewer she told me that she’s literally sitting at a table at starbucks for the entire day monday interviewing people every 30 minutes.</p>
<p>I’m not lying-- they’re looking for people anywhere in the country to call up people from Suffolk.</p>
