So I know they contact us for the interview, but i’m assuming they don’t interview EVERYONE who applies… When do they begin to contact people and if they don’t contact you should you assume rejection? Just wondering… Any ideas?
Thanks

I reqested an interview a few months ago and was just contacted several minutes ago. It has nothing to do with if they want you or not- just the ratio of available alumni interviewers to applicants in your area.

I didn't even request an interview but I got an e-mail and am scheduled for an interview next Saturday at 12:40. Oh joy.

I got contacted in January. It's pretty much pointless, guys. I had a fab-oo interview when I first applied but got rejected.

My interviewer emailed me on Monday and I've sent her two replies. She still hasn't replied. Should I be worried?

i submitted my app too on october 31 online. everything is received except ofr a teacher rec and a counselor rec and transcript. do they wait to notify you for an interview until your app is complete? also i submitted some extra material how will i know that that has been added to my file?

Not getting contacted for an interview doesn't mean you're rejected. It either means that there aren't enough alumni in your area, or that they haven't gotten around to doing them yet and you may be contacted later.

i am not thinkking that i was rejected already just purely wondering if they contact you once your application is complete

Mine did; I actually just had it today lol.

Yeah, I actually got contacted, finally. Interview scheduled! I hear it doesn't make any difference, anyway, though. I guess it can mainly hurt you if you bomb it?

Well the way my interviewer did it, you really couldn't bomb it. He maybe asked 4 questions, if that, and he was a really nice guy. He came to my house and it lasted about 1.5 hours.

ick. I have mine saturday.

Mine's on the 26th!

i didnt get contacted and im from an area with LOts of alumni. should i be worried?

i haven't been contacted for an alumni interview, but i had one with the admissions rep for my area this summer when i was in providence for a few weeks....does this mean that i just won't have an interview?

You're app doesn't have to be complete. I only submitted Form 1 and was contacted. But I'm RD... maybe it's different for ED?
