Dress business-smart. Guys would wear khaki pdress pants, dress shoes, a button-down shirt and a blazer or a jacket. A tie is optional but I wouldn't wear a suit. You may do a sweater too.

It depends on the interviewer. For example, my Georgetown interviewer asked me to dress casually since it would be at his house and he would be dressed casually too.

What you wear depends on where you meet for the interview. Good to be on time and if the interviewer says casual it means business casual. For guys that typically means Khaki pants and a button down shirt or if you are in the south a nice knit shirt (no prints) that is tucked in. Shoes, not athletic or flip flops.

D ususally wears a skirt with flats (she is 5'8" and if the interviewer is female she hates to tower). She went to an informal interview at a Starbucks located at a local college campus (interview was for another U) and the interviewer told her to dress extremely casual she wore dark jeans with a nice sweater and nice flats.

She has an interview for an Ivy League school at the Starbucks in a local Barnes and Noble next week. She will probably wear a skirt or casual dress because it is always safe.
