Interview

Will my local admissions rep contact me for the interview or do I need to contact him? I'm really not clear about this..........Furthermore, is this interview required?, because there is not a box on my personal candidate site for it........I was just wondering.........thanks for the help!

The interview is required to the best of my knowledge. Your Admissions Officer should contact you, but it may look good if you contact him. It just shows you are on top of things and want to get things done as soon as possible.

So is there an interview for the admissions laison officer and the admissions people at west point?

My son was told by his MALO that the one on one session that he had with his squad leader at SLS was his interview, and that no further interview was necessary.

My understanding is that the MALO interview is the norm, but is not mandatory for an appointment or an LOA. There is no mandatory interview with the admissions office at USMA. However, if you visit USMA, you can schedule time to meet with the admissions office one-on-one and review the status of your file.

Remember that the dual purpose of the MALO interview is provide the candidate with a better understanding of USMA and for the academy to learn more about the candidate.

Good luck to all in their pursuits.

Although there is no box on the candidate login site for interviews, there is a box on the site that the MALO has access to. That is how my son's MALO determined that he had had his interview at SLS.
