interview

do swarthmore interviews ask really obscure questions?"

is there anything to be nervous about?

I had my interview on campus and it was not very unusual. I was interviewed by a seniro from Swarthmore who started out by asking me general questions about my life and what I wanted to do. After taht I did most of the talking. I wasn't asked any obscure questions, most likely because I talked a lot, but if you come into the interview at least psychologically ready to answer anything, then I'm sure you'll do fine. Just don't be nervous, the interviewer really does want to help you get into Swarthmore. Good luck!

i had mine off campus. it was very basic, really more about me asking him questions.

I had mine off campus as well, it wasn't asked anything obscure. There weren't any unusual questions or anything. My interviewer and I had a lot in common and to talk about. But like meestasi said don't be nervous. The last thing the interviewer wants to do is hurt your chances of getting into Swarthmore.

I had mine off campus, and it was just like a conversation. At the end I was like, "So, when are we going to get on with the interview," And the guy was like "that was the interview." And I was shocked. But it's probably different depending on who interviewed you, perhaps?
