About two weeks after I submitted my regular decision application an alumnus emailed me and offered an interview in my area, so I did it. I’m wondering if they ask everyone to come do an interview or if I have passed some sort of first round of application review? Thanks
I would hope so, considering I too have an interview…tomorrow actually (today, since it’s past midnight).
I’m almost 100% sure though that it doesn’t indicate any improvement of chances. It’s usually just luck if you have a local alumnus available who will interview an x amount of students, and you are are randomly assigned out of the local applicant pool. But hey, more power to you if you have the opportunity to have an alumni interview! It can only help you + good luck!
Interview availability is based solely on alumni availability in your area. It means nothing in terms of your chances of getting in.
