Guys, don't worry about the thank you note so much if you didn't send one. Sure it's great to send one, but I didn't send one after the interview and I got in just fine....what you should remember to do is thank them when you DO get in.

I forgot one....I should probably give my interviewer a call and let her know I got in.

Does one normally do that? (LOL I used "one") Should I do that?

it couldn't hurt. I feel bad.........I lost her business card.

I live in Singapore.. do I get an interview too? ...Gtown's interview seems rather formal... I'm scared! :s

I just received my contact info for the interview, so the interview is coming up real soon. I was wondering do they ask you any questions to see if you know about the history and traditions of the university? Or any other hard questions? thanks.

mine didn't, but from reading the posts, it seems like the interviews vary DRASTICALLY....seems to me like you should be prepared. You could have someone who only asks you about yourself (like I did) or you could have an interviewer who asks you all kinds of questions about the university (like some i've heard about). Just be prepared for anything

anyone else have any questions specifically about Gtown?

mine started off with some "what part of gtown attracts you most" and "what can you bring to gtown" questions, so i think as long as you know what you're interested in at gtown you should be okay. the only other really gtown-specific question he asked me was "how do you feel about the jesuit affiliation and the religion class requirement?" --but he was definitely more interested in reassuring me that i don't need to be catholic to go to georgetown than he was in testing my knowledge of the school. everything else he asked me was all about philosophical and moral opinions and abstract things like that. hope that helps =)

OMG.... damn.. the qs are really weird..

My other interview for another school was way more chill.. we just kinda chatted about this and that.. mostly about me.

I don't know like the HISTORY of Gtown.. .. should I research stuff etc..?
And do I even get an interview if I live in Singapore?

that's something you'd have to find out from the admissions office.

yeah, i was pretty surprised when he started busting out all the morality stuff--"how do you define initiative" and "in light of the recent enron scandals, can you briefly talk about how you define an action as moral or immoral?", but just make a coherent argument that you really believe in. i think they're just as interested in seeing how you puzzle out the answer to something you've never really thought about that way, and there's no right or wrong answer, so it's okay! =)

oh, and i don't think you'll really need to know too much about georgetown except for what attracts you to the school and what you've probably already gleaned from skimming the website and CC!
