Hello!
I was wondering how interviews for Harvard are assigned? My friend and I, we live in the same area, and she submitted two days after me but received an email about an interview yesterday, but I haven’t been contacted yet, so I was just wondering how it works
Thank you!
I’m also wondering this. I submitted over a week ago, but haven’t been contacted and I’m pretty sure there are interviewers in my area.
@ballin2022 Check your spam mail! I found out that my interviewer reached out to me three days ago but gmail put it in my spam mail ugh
It’s a function of how many alumni are in the area and how many applicants there are. It also reflects how overworked the local alum doing the legwork is.
@ecoearth I checked my spam mail too but I haven’t got contacted Should I call the office of admissions and ask or just sit back and continue waiting
@kenneth1960 thank you so much, and I totally agree. Really speaks to how much the alumnus love their school to volunteer their time like that.
@ballin2022 I wouldn’t because a) seems a lil too much,b) they do their best to get everyone and your interviewer may just be busy atm so they’ll contact you in a bit. Keep me updated!
@ecoearth Haha I just got an email
@ballin2022 congrats! Happy it all worked out
yea @ecoearth I was wondering when I would be contacted too. It’s been quite a while now. Let me know if you’re gonna call the admissions office, bc I might do that too!
Don’t call the admissions office for 2 reasons:
1/ They are not responsible for coordinating interviews.
2/ If an interviewer is available, s/he will contact you. If one is not available, one will not magically appear based upon calling Harvard.
Your application will not be disadvantaged if you don’t get an interview.
@skieurope Okie, thanks for the heads up!
