Hi!
I know Emory only offers interviews, and you cannot sign-up for one. My question is how often are applicants offered interviews? Any info would be helpful: numbers, percentage, your experience…
Does it indicate they are on the fence about you? Or is it that they really like you and want to know if you should receive some money?
Hi mrc4081. I was recently accepted to the class of 2020 to Emory college. I also had an interview conducted by the University. I was really nervous about the interview, but I had a great experience with it!Most of the interview was the alumni talking about their experience at Emory and answering any questions I had. They did ask us a couple of questions like why we applied to Emory, what we could contribute there, and what we expect to do with our time in Emory. My interview only lasted about 30 minutes.
Can’t say much about specific numbers but I will say interviews are offered rarely depending on your location and if I’m correct what interests the university from some aspect on your application. Not everyone is offered an interview. 2 out of 3 of my friends who applied for emory got an interview request but those same 2 declined the invitation. I just had my emory interview today and I think it went well. The person I had was really laid back but told me about the experience at emory and asked me simple questions like “what ethical dilemma have you faced” or “why emory”, “what are your interests”, “what 3 things you look for in the college search” etc. I think the best thing you should do if invited IS ACCEPT it even though they say it has absolutely no impact on wether you are admitted or not. It’s a great experience for getting an overall impression of the place and I’m extremely excited more about the experience. If you have any further inquiries feel free to PM me.
