Do interviewers look at your application so that they can ask particular questions? For those who’ve had interviews, how do they go? What kinda questions do they ask?
Interviewers typically don’t know anything aside from your name and where you live. They mostly ask about your ECs and passions, and follow up questions based on those
I do student meetings for Cornell and all we get is the students name, contact information, high school, and intended major. The meetings are more for students to get to ask questions than vice versa. Alumni interviews are typically very low key. My best advice is to go equipped with lots of questions for you to ask of your interviewer!
No we do not get anything from your application except the name of your high school and the intended major.
Expect to be asked: Why Penn, why this major/school, what are you involved in outside of school, and what do you want to do post-college.
Personally I like to dive deeper into whatever the student seems particularly interested about. We’re here to be your advocates though. We’re trying to learn about you so we can write about your strengths in our report.
Thank you thank you. This is all very helpful
