interviews

I lost the interview card I received in the mail--is there any other way to sign up for one? Is it too late by now?

Also, how much does an interview affect your chances? I know on the Northwestern website it says that a student will not be disadvantaged if they don't do one, but could an interview be the deciding factor for a borderline applicant?

i did a an interview yesterday and it went really well. they are supposed to last around 20 mins but mine lasted an hour. i really think the report the alumnus gives you will give the adcoms a better view of your personality. i sure hope it helps, i mean, why wouldnt it.

My D had an interview last weekend. We drove 3 hours one way for the 30 minute interview. The interview lasted 55minutes. She felt positive about the interivew> I think it gave her some positive experience. She is hopeing though her test scores are low but her GPA uw and wt are great and her ec's are incredible. She is waiting patiently. NU is her dream school and it is a definite fit for her!

She had an interview this weekend with another school. This is a very good academic school. SHe has been given a 40K scholarship at this point for the 4 years with additional monies from this past weekend. We will the weigh the odds.

an interviewer contacted me, and suggested a date when i was actually on vacation. i (politely!) asked for another, and never heard from her again. sigh. do you think this is bad?
