<p>I was just wondering, are interviews required for admission to CMU? And if they are not, are they recommended?</p>
<p>They are not required; however, an interview is considered once they review your application. It's the only real, tangible oppurtunity the admissions board has at learning what type of individual you are, outside the application.</p>
