Interviews!

I just wanted to say, I just had my interview and it went great. :) Good luck to everybody else. They're not meant to be scary or intimidating. They're actually a lot of fun.

lol my interview didn't go so well, but i wasn't that fazed by it. i think the interviewer might have just been having a bad day. he told me he hates boston, and then he attacked me constantly with quantum physics - he kept being like, HAVE YOU LEARNED THIS IN PHYSICS, and I was like ummm no, I take AP Physics C: Mechanics, not Quantum Physics, and we've only gotten to Newton's Laws... and then he talked at me. ah, well. it could have been fun though. it was nice talking about pink elephants and jumping randomly from topic to topic.

when do u have to have the interviews done by? My guy contacted me and I sent him an email back but has gotten nothing back yet

sometime before decisions come out, so probably before december? the guy should've given you a phone number too. when i e-mailed him, he wasn't very responsive, it took like 5 days for him to get back to me, but then i just called him and we set something up very easily.

I never got matched up with an alumni interviewer...

I haven't been contacted by an interviewer either, which makes me nervous.

Guys: Be a little aggressive following up with interviewers (and the people who are supposed to match you up with them). The interviewers are all adults with real jobs and lives, and it's easy to let the interviews slip if no one is bugging them. (Not everyone does that, but it definitely happens.) One of my kids was really hurt by not closing the loop with her interviewer from one school.

Mine hasn't heard yet either (got the acknowledgment of her request, but no subsequent followup). I'm nervous about it too but there doesn't seem to be anything to do at this point unless there is another contact point. P.S. Glad to the OP that you had a great interview!
