Interviews?

I checked the NYU site and there was nothing about interviews.

Are they required/recommended for admissions?
I live in California so I can't go to New York to have an interview.
But does NYU offer any alumni interviews?

Thanks!

I'm pretty sure they don't offer interviews

they dont...
i attended an info session and the lady said there are just too many applicants to offer interviews

Um i had one

and i got in WITH SCHOLARSHIP

I didn't have one, and I got in with a scholarship too.

I've heard an interview is only an option if you actually live close enough to come to the NYU campus and do it, but aside from nyugirlandguy, I've never actually known of anyone has ever had one.

I'm pretty sure it's difficult, if not logistically impossible, to interview 37000 applicants.

there are no interviews, the post above is obviously a joke

yeah, nyugirlandguy has just been posting bs all over the place.

Tisch interviews, but of course, you all know that.

oh, i thought they were more like auditions

I'm pretty sure NYU doesn't do interviews. At the end of my audition for Music Education, I was given a small interview, but that was really it.

Tisch auditions and then does an interview. But i don't recall hearing about interviews for anything else.
