<p>How is the IR major at CMU? What paths do grads follow? Any acceptances into top grad schools or Foreign Service?</p>

<p>To be blatantly honest, IR is seen as one of the weaker programs at CMU, even one of the weaker programs within H&SS. I say this as an H&SS student myself. 
If you have the grades to get into a CMU-tier program, I would suggest looking at Georgetown, George Washington, NYU, UCLA, or small LACs which will give you a more intensive focus in the subject.</p>
