Intls and Letters of Recommendation

How do you guys put together your recs, do you send it as one package or do you tell the teachers to send it separately to the different admissions offices. how does the postal service in your country compare, and do you have trouble with teachers not knowing how to write a reccomendation or writing recommendations in poor english?

would appreciate your different perspectives.

It depends on the school for sending the rec seperately. Some online app's allow you to just paste the rec in and tick a box verifying that it is correct to you knowledge but most want to receive it seperately. The postal service in my home country and here is alright. Actually, no Canada Post is terrible, but Royal Mail is good. I don't have the same problem with you regarding english but why not have them type the original in your native language and sign it and get a translation into english (either done by you or someone else) and get them to sign it and include both?

I have the same problem! My teachers (French) wrote them in English, but they gave the recs to me to send them directly, without sealed envelopes or anything. I sent them all together and wrote a note to the university explaining my special situation..I hope it works..they're really awesome rec's and it would be a bummer to lose them..

Canada Post terrible? what the hell are you talking about?

The original poster asked about how postal systems in our countries worked, and Canada Post is the postal service in Canada, and it is terrible.

viky - Did you translate the rec's? Maybe you should follow up with the admissions office?
