Can any folks from Davis provide some details please? I’m a huge football fan and I would love to play for fun, is the atmosphere generally friendly? What about other sports such as volleyball and basketball? I’d love nothing more than to find fun people to play with, but I know people can be assjobs about winning even though the game means nothing.

Nobody knows? lol

I think you will find tons of sports at Davis. The fitness center has a good sized basketball court, plus all the outdoor courts. I counted two different pool complexes and two large PE complexes when I walked about.

IM sports are HUGE at UCD - over 14000 students play per year. This is the largest program in the UC system. Generally everyone who wants to play can find a team - and most students just play for fun.

Anxious Mom is right on the money. If you like IM sports, you are at the right school. IM sports are for all levels and IM Flag Football happens twice a year in fall and spring. Though you will get your annual douche bags people are generally cool and chill during the games. Also sportmanship is a huge factor in tie breakers and such in the leagues...so people are even more friendly.
