How competitive are the intramurals? My friend suggested that the people who play intramurals are those who played for their high school teams but weren't good enough to play at Penn. I'm pretty much just an average athlete and wanted to have some fun. I was hoping that it would be competitive, but not to the point where I would get blown out.

Most of the people played sports in their high school but you can also find there people who never played a sport. Some sports are more competitive than others but I am sure that every sport offers the right balance of fun and competitiveness.

It really does depend, but I’m fairly certain that most intramurals are not for the uber-casual players. I know a friend who goes to Yale who used to play some basketball for fun. He sadly told me that intramural bball was not for the average joe at Yale, at least.

If you played decently at your high school, I think you’d find intramural sports do-able. Otherwise, probably not?

Most sports have IM teams right? Are there any that don’t?
