<p>Are all applicants contacted for an interview? How are they selected? This is for all the schools except hotel.</p>
<p>If the school does not require interviews (for ex. CAS doesn’t require them) CAAAN (Cornell Alumni Admissions Ambassador Network) might contact you depending on your location and availability of alumni that are part of the group. They don’t contact everyone however, and Cornell emphasizes that this is an “opportunity for you to ask questions about the school” and not really an interview. The person you meet with, if you do at all, can still write a report about you to the school though. Also I believe that once you send in your common application they list you in their database and as mentioned before, might contact you based on availability.</p>
