I took the ChRa test and missed the math by one point to take Gen. Chem. and I was wondering what Intro to Chemistry was like online. Any advice would be much appreciated.

I heard it was a lot of work but it prepares you for general chem. good luck!

I didn’t take it, but I helped my roommate and 3 friends who took it with their coursework. It looked like a complete pain in the butt and very tedious, but it will serve as good background for Chem 1. It starts out pretty easy, but gets pretty hard & intense towards the end. Study Edge can help, if you need it.

Also, your predicament with the ChRA is just like that of one of my friends who took intro to chem in his first semester. Weird…

I know of several who got C and c-'s…A C minus is failing…can you believe that

@hapyhapy Welcome to college…

Its hard but worth it. I took the live class (even though I self-taught most of the work). If you got placed in it, its because you need it. Some of my friends passed it to skip into to chem and ended up dropping Chem or getting a D/C.

I worked my ass off in intro to chem and got a A-… and when I took chem it was way easier for me. I ended up with a A- (which is very tough to do). I give credit to intro to chem because I got a perfect score in the first two exams since it was mostly what I learned in intro to chem.

Its a longer track but you end up with a better GPA. I know two people who had to take it twice because they got a C- the first time and had to retake it.

I was a biology major in college and 1 class away from a chem minor (the organic class with the unknown to solve for was what I was missing). So I am very "science’ oriented. I graduated from a small liberal arts school in Ohio…UF is ******* unbelievable. I believe they get their jolly’s failing people. DD prof was a grad student who -----told the class this…had just broken up with her boyfriend and was P***** *** at the world…she took it out on the class. So unprofessional in my opinion…ruined a bunch of kids in the meantime. I hope she is happy!
