ahem...i'm chinese myself. from chongqing(i love chongqing!!!). went to US when i was 8, went back to chongqing at 12, went to Singapore to study on a scholarship at 15, now on vacation in chongqing. so technically, i'm living in singapore now but still think of chongqing as home. applied EA to yale, shall die waiting for the final decision coming out in mid-december.</p>

<p>Hey guys! Yeah, there are really many chinese people in the world (every sixth of us?). I remember, on the Icho there were kind of 20 chinese people from different parts of the world as well as from China.
I'm not chinese but I'm kinda 100 km out of it. I'm from Kyrgyzstan, participated at the IChO, IMChO (silver medal), LOVE chemistry. Apply to MIT, Harvard, IUB. I was admitted to Moscow State University and think that METU also gonna accept me. So, I've got safity universities!

<p>another torontonian Chinese reporting in, unlike the rest of the Chinese students here, i think i might have brain tumors or some thing, b/c i am stupid :( 600V 800M that kind of tell u every thing doesn't it? 5 years in Canada and i still don't do well in English even though i try hard. my SAT II's are worst so yeah... I have already been rejected from Stanford and hoping for good schools to get in to. but i don't write well, so it's going to be hard getting in to a good school. U of T is great. I have done a little research there over the summer with Mass Spectrometry. But unfortunately i couldn't find a cure for Skin Cancer or HIV. so it doesn't really help :( anyway, merry xmas to all and good luck with university apps, i know i'll need it</p>

<p>ohh maybe I should talk about myself too. I'm korean. I was born in seoul korea, left to the states when i was 3, left to canada when I was in grade 5... and now here at markham. I want to get in to a sort of pre-med program in the states. if not, I want to go in to health sciences at mcmaster. I don't like u of t. haha. :P I'm junior and so I just took my SATs.</p>

<p>Hey! I live in Kuwait, but I am half Jordanian on my dad's side - which was a bit of a problem during the (first) Gulf War when Jordan initially sided with Iraq, thus causing a lot of animosity between the Kuwaitis and Jordanians. It was an intensely valuable experience for me, though - having one side of my family constantly insulting the other - because it taught me early on that one should never be judged by nationality.</p>
<p>So anyway, I ended up with a 1440 on my SAT (V760, M680), which I'm pretty happy with. I'd like to study Linguistics at uni because I'm crazy about languages. I speak English primarily, a bit of Arabic, and French. Hopefully I'll be adding Modern Greek and Italian to that list at university!</p>
