I'm planning my senior year schedule (currently a junior), and this is what it looks like so far:

AP Physics C: Mech
AP Spanish Lit
AP English Lit
AP US Gov
Honors Theology
DE Multivariable Calc (at local CC)

I have one more slot to fill, and I'm conflicted between AP Macro and Acting I (other possibilities include Honors Music Theory and study hall). AP Macro would be a pure GPA/transcript boost (it's an easy class at my school), as would music theory.

However, I've wanted to take Acting for a couple years now, but it's never been able to fit into my schedule. It would be a much needed break from academics, college apps, and the like; from what I've heard, it's also a lot of fun, and the acting teacher is amazing! But I know colleges like consistency and commitment, so I'm worried that taking acting (over something like music, which is one of my major ECs) might seem like I'm dabbling too much and not going into enough depth in one subject area (if that makes sense).

tl;dr Would taking an introductory acting class senior year look "bad" on my transcript? (So far, I've been taking the most rigorous schedule available at my school.)

Thanks in advance! :)

[EDIT: I'm aiming for Top Ten/Ivies, in case you were wondering.]
