Invest time in PSAT or SAT?

<p>I really want to qualify as a National Merit Scholar from the PSAT, but I have heard numerous people say that you are better of studying for the SAT as the PSAT is very similiar.</p>

<p>What are your takes on this? Should I:</p>

<p>1) Buy prep books specifically for PSAT, and buy prep books specifically for SAT</p>

<p>-OR-</p>

<p>2) Buy prep books specifically for SAT and study for both tests while saving money</p>

<p>MISLEADING TITLE: Should I buy prep books for PSAT and/or SAT?</p>

<p>You don’t need to practice too much PSAT. Just practice for SAT and then do a sample PSAT test to get the timing.</p>

<p>If you study for the SAT that’ll encompass everything for the PSAT.</p>
