@fallenchemist I have been accepted to Tulane with the Founder’s Scholarship. I want to major in Finance, with my dream job being Investment Banking. Do you know if Tulane places any students in investment banks straight out of undergrad?

Yes, I believe that Tulane has placed a number of students in these kinds of jobs. Certainly with firms such as Goldman Sachs and others involved in IB, from what I have read about student outcomes in the past. In fact, besides whatever firms come to the campus (I do not know if IB firms visit Tulane, you would have to check with the business school), Tulane also has annual trips for prospective grads to major cities like NYC, Chicago and Houston where networking and interviews with specialized companies in areas such as energy, commodities trading, and IB are arranged. http://www.freeman.tulane.edu/freemandays/student.php

I do know that Tulane’s finance program is considered first rate. It has received accolades from the Financial Times of London, the Wharton School of Business, and elsewhere. And that is just what I know from following Tulane in general. I am sure the finance profs within the school can tell you more. Don’t be shy about contacting one of them. In fact, here is the contact info for the person that arranges the trips I mentioned. I am sure he would be glad to fill you in on specifics.
