hello everyone, I'm a senior in HS currently and just got accepted into Baruch college. I plan to complete my bachelors there and recieve a BBA in Finance and investments as well as a minor in accounting. I will try to achieve a 4.0 gpa and such. My question is this, is it possible for me to get good summer internships even though I go to Baruch, or even an analyst position once I graduate.. Because I don't have the money for Wharton or stern..

stern and wharton are need blind, if you have the brains, but no money, they will find a way to make it make it happen. as to the summer internships/analyst position out of Baruch -- make friends with people at career center early, and make sure you're on their radar. Although you may also look at internships with the govt regulators(Im assuming there is such a thing) -- not everyone out of the "elite" colleges go for them, since you already live in nyc or nearby, you wont have housing issues, etc, and you will have an interesting profile later on

Well I will try to get a 4.0 my first two years of college then perhaps attempt to transfer to stern if they give me a full scholarship but I doubt they would. I will work on the career center relationship, but what do you mean by having an interesting profile later on?

Just network... as you'll be living in NYC, you'll come across plenty of people in the industry. Start a relationship with them and some may help you out when you need it.

A full scholarship at Stern? For a transfer? Don't even think about it! In good times with a lot of hiring you may get internships with amazing grades and prof recs from Baruch. If hiring remains limited it will be tough.

Investment what? Honey, that ship has sailed. Try med school instead : )

I doubt that dbt, it's gonna come back after a few years

It didn't go anywhere. 80 plus percent of the players are still sitting in their offices and the downsizing was happening before the crash.
