Inyernational student need full scholarship for master degree in architecture

Need full scmoraship forme international student i'm a student in Guinea Conakry(west africa) i want to continue master degree in architecture !! I'm Christian if it can help. Help my dream to Côme true.

First Step: See https://www.educationusa.info/centers.php</a></p>

You are looking for full funding for a graduate degree program in architecture? I’m going to stick my neck out…good luck. These will be few and far between.

Thanks 4kidsdad i’m going to check it.thumper hope i can have your point of view what should i have to look for?? However even one year financial aid can help me. If there is also a possibility to get international loan i’m very interested. Looking forward hearing from you!!

Most graduate architecture programs are NOT fully funded for students in this country. This means that the students pay to attend grad school themselves…paying the full cost to attend. U.S citizens can take grad plus loans for grad school up to the cost of attendance. They are also eligible for unsubsidized Direct Loans. International students are not eligible for these loans.

Grad school financial aid is not need based. It is merit based and is based on the school’s desire to have you as a member of the grad school cohort…and the strength of your application. It is not based on your ability to pay.

There is not a lot of full funding for architecture grad students.

I dont think it is possible for an intl to get full funding for a masters in Arch.

I see. But what about undergraduate study?? Are there much opportunity for that one?? I’m ready to restart bachelor degree knowing that architecture program in USA are better than here. An occasion to improve my knowledges. All i want is to study more and got U.S diploma i’ll be more usefull to my country specially that it’s an undevelopped country and is in construction. I’m also interested to work-study or intership program everything that could help me pay for study.

One step you can take to prepare yourself for consideration to study at a university or college in the United States is take the TOEFL exam, and then research the required minimum scores at the schools you are interested in attending.

Again, your first step should be finding an advising center from EducationUSA. See https://www.educationusa.info/centers.php</a></p>

Most colleges do not give need based aid…or merit aid for a second bachelors degree.

Also, you can’t just decide that because there is no financial aid for graduate school, that you can now start a bachelors degree. You’ve ready had schooling. As an international student you would not receive anything. Financial aid is almost nonexistent for international students. Do not lie on you application and ask for admission as an undergraduate student. You will be caught.

Aunt bea! Thainks for your advices but i will never lie on my application. I will let them know my level here in my country. And say that is my choice to school again bachelor degree in order to improve my knowledge. In fact éducation systeme here in my country is very different to your’s(USA) the quality is not so good. Another reason to school again. Many of african student have to school again once there. Yes i ask for graduate first because i’m determine to work hard once there to keep level.but the trust is that to me my will is not to earn high and high degree but to be proud of my knowledge. Thank to help me in that case!!

Feel a little bit sad because it seem too difficult to me to get financial aid when i read all of you. But i still have hope!! Thank to every body!!

Sorry, but there are no full scholarships for a second Bachelors’ Degree for most American universities. Even US residents cannot get funding to go to school for a second Bachelor’s degree. The universities assume that you’ve already earned a primary degree so any further degree is going to be at full price for you.

OK!! I see!! But what about international loan i visite the US éducation site proposed by 4kidsdad and discover that international student can get loan with a co-signer! What about that??

Do you have a financially-able co-signer?

If you want a loan from a U.S. Lender, you need a cosigner in the U.S.

Can you get a loan in YOUR country? If so, you may need a co-signer there.

For you to get a loan HERE, you would need a qualified American to be your co-signer for each year of the program.

I thought it could be a best way to finance my studies but i wondered all week long about how to get a cosigner but very dificult because i remembered that i have no relationship in USA. Are there any others possibilities you know about getting cosigner?! What about work-study??

I second looking into EducationUSA as a starting point. It is true that there may not be many opportunities for funding for an architecture program, but if there are any - that would be a good resource.

In order to begin the F-1 visa process, you must be able to prove that you have adequate funding to pay for study in the U.S. This means either finding a funded program or securing financing (such as loans) prior to coming to the U.S. There a companies that lend to foreign students for study in the U.S., but I cannot provide any recommendations. You would need to search for them on the internet and investigate them carefully.
