Iowa state engineering

I am an international student and I was really wondering if Iowa state was a good engineering school or not
I am is it a good university for engineering jobs ?
and is it nationally or internationally recognized
THANKS

Here is a link to the list of engineering programs at ISU that are fully accredited by ABET (the organization that accredits engineering programs in the US) http://main.abet.org/aps/AccreditedProgramsDetails.aspx?OrganizationID=391&ProgramIDs= If the major that you want to study is on this list, the program at ISU will be a good place to study.

It is very difficult for international students to find permanent work in the US after graduating. You are only allowed to work here for one year after you finish your studies, and then you need to plan to go back to your home country. If your goal is to leave your country permanently, you should study in Canada or Australia where the immigration policies are more friendly.

Iowa State is a good school for engineering, but it’s not the absolute best school for it. If you’re interested in engineering with an agricultural or biological focus, though, it’s a really good place to go.

I grew up in Ames (where ISU is located) and it has a fair amount of international students, so you wouldn’t be alone. I’d definitely look into ISU if I were you, but like the above comment said, the US isn’t the easiest country to find work in for a long period of time.

thank you guys for the advice and yeah @happymomof1 it is accredited
