So I'm trying to decide whether to get the iPhone or the Droid for my birthday. Can anyone tell me the pros/cons of each? For the purpose of this, disregard cost. Thanks for any input!!

iPhone is overrated. More people at my school got a droid…

Droid. Most your apps are free, including music and ringtone apps.

iPhone

I would actually consider Windows Phone 7.5; it’s brilliant.

I personally like my iPhone 4 and can’t stand the droid interfaces and menus. If you don’t mind the droids, get one.

I have a droid, and I’m counting down the days until I can get an iphone. My phone does so many weird, annoying things.

No duh it a droid…

I couldn’t stand my iPhone 4, so I got a droid and I love it!

If most of your friends have iphones, get one for compatibility with group texts and other stuff. If not, or if you consider yourself somewhat of a techie, go with a droid. iphones are simpler and easier to use, but droids are easier to customize and have more capabilities.

You suggested iPhone but it sound like you made Droid the better phone…

iPhone. No comparison.

Most of my friends who have droids say that there are so many problems/glitches with their phones and some of my friends experience the same problems with their phones as others do with theirs. I love my iPhone 4 though! I have no problems with my iPhone!

I just updated to a Droid back in October and I am ready to ditch it for a Windows Phone or iPhone. Since it is so customizable, there are issues with the security and the software. Installing the wrong app could lead to a virus or a battery killer, which eventually led to me factory resetting it. So unless you really want a Droid, go for it. Just be warned.

what I’ve generally noticed (I have no experience of my own with these devices) is that the less technical people prefer the iphone since they find it easier to understand and manage and whatnot, but droid is actually better if you’re able to manage it

Neither. Bar phone ftw!

Get an iPhone. Jailbreak it. You win.

I’ve had a droid and I’ve had an iPhone.

Go with the iPhone.

Droid. No comparison.

iPhone! Anything else isn’t any good. Trust me I have an Android phone and I can tell you that it’s not as good as the iPhone.
