Iran Election

Zionism is what kicked people out of their homes in palestine.

Israel, smarty IB pants, invaded Lebanon BEFORE hezbullah was formed, numerous times. Hezbullah was founded from the frustration at Israel. I hope you know that they have WAAY more palestinians, syrians, and lebanese in Israeli prisons than Israeli soldiers (handful). out of balance.

Hezbollah is a resistance organisation

You sound like you were planning the whole attack resistance with Hamas. How the hell would you know that they made sure civilians were there? last time i checked i dont think you were mahmoud abbas or the leader of Hamas (whose name escapes me). Hamas wasnt created by palestinians to KILL palestinians. It was created so Israel can ■■■■.

Israel is a puppet for the United States in the middle east. Without american support, they are simply NOTHING. I hope you know that it isnt the ONLY ally in the middle east, Saudi Arabia is a bigger ally in terms of financial gain and amount of trade, both economic and knowledge based.

Please think before 2002. Think back to the 1940s when it DIDNT EVEN EXIST, and then it was taken over and declared jewish land. *** happened? wouldnt you be ****ed if the russians came into the US 70 years ago and taken over the West coast, and half of the south? wouldnt you form resistance organisations? fight back? The countries that want it destroyed are not going on random rants, they want the rightful land that belongs to them back, and some countries are advocating for the land rights of palestine (i.e. all of israel).

you cant just walk into a place and say it was promised to you by god. It sure as hell wont work if the zionists claimed the US was their holy land.

This ISNT a religious issue. Islam, the majority religion of those countries, does not advocate violence and war for no reason. But if the enemy fights you, jails away little boys and young men, rapes your women, then its all out fury against these POSs. somebody has to stop them.

konig: "PLUS israel is a big bully, they had it coming "

Wow, you’re anti-Semitic. I can’t believe you’d let a Second Holocaust happen just because Israel did some dumb things.

konig, I’m not saying that Israel has the best claim to their current homeland, but they did occupy it well before 1940 and the Muslims.

[The Daily Dish | By Andrew Sullivan](<a href=“The Results As They Came In - The Atlantic”>The Results As They Came In - The Atlantic)

Is it bad that I can’t read about the Iranian election without thinking of this: [Hulu - Saturday Night Live: Digital Short: Iran So Far](http://www.hulu.com/watch/16771/saturday-night-live-digital-short-iran-so-far) ?

"One employee of the Interior Ministry, which carried out the vote count, said the government had been preparing its fraud for weeks, purging anyone of doubtful loyalty and importing pliable staff members from around the country.

“They didn’t rig the vote,” claimed the man, who showed his ministry identification card but pleaded not to be named. “They didn’t even look at the vote. They just wrote the name and put the number in front of it.”"

“konig, I’m not saying that Israel has the best claim to their current homeland, but they did occupy it well before 1940 and the Muslims.” - dunbar

correct me if I am wrong, but do I hear historical claims? It makes sense now, but why is it brushed aside as rubbish when Natives, who have the “right” to the land more than europeans because they “…did occupy it well before…” the formation of the republic or any union, make such claims? Im pretty sure now you will notice something.

“Wow, you’re anti-Semitic. I can’t believe you’d let a Second Holocaust happen just because Israel did some dumb things” -johncasto

No, I am not anti-semitic. If I was, I would have stated that I am anti-semitic. And NO, I wouldnt let a second holocaust happen to all jews (because not all jews share the same ideology as Israel), just the ones resisting the rights of local people (i.e. palestinians) and are up in arms. Thats called all out WAR.

Makes sense

arr! hacking and smashing words! If you call for simpler and less agressive foreign policy in regards to Israel does not make you anti-semetic. What i am trying to say is that global involvement is unnecessary fueling a big bonfire of tensions. bad idea. If israel is wiped off the map, good for them. If Iran is wiped off the map, good for them. I think its about time everybody minded their own business.

I think that Israel gets more sympathy here than it deserves, but just letting it get destroyed is dumb. Not that it would get destroyed if it had to protect itself…

Well, overtime they will get screwed pretty bad. If their merkavas (which are apparently the best tanks in the world) cant withstand a single Hezbollah easily-made rocket, then that is sad.

heres a good article. Shows that not everybody thinks Hezbollah are terrorists, according to the EU!! [Thaw sets in EU-Hezbollah ties](Arab News | Worldwide News, Latest Breaking News & Updates)

This is really serious. Apparently most of the police who are beating up and killing citizens are speaking Arabic. (Meaning they aren’t Persian). Hezbollah seems to be the source.

In addition, the NBC studios have been taken over by the police.

so youre telling me that they outsourced their policing services from Hezbollah? are you serious in anyway?

I also hope you jsut dont trust people like CNN, FOX, etc. they arent exactly used to the word “honesty”. They add spices to their stories so they can capture attention and more people watching. simple marketing techniques that pay off really well.

Iran is moving towards a dictatorship like North Korea which is a shame.

The results were definately switched. The idiot who said the Holocaust didn’t happen got 33% of the votes while his opponent got the 62%.

If this isn’t the case and the Iranian people actually voted for the moron AGAIN, then I am just disappointed. I can’t believe inflation is SOO high in Iran and the economy is in ruins there.

Yes I’m 100% serious.

And lol @ the doubting. If you haven’t realized it yet, none of this info is coming from international or American news sources because they have been BANNED from reporting. All of this is coming from Iranians.

How you know it was rigged?
How you know who the youth likes?
Dont you think youth likes it when your president says that his country is the best and it will not kiss anyone’s ass? (ahmadinedjad)
Just because you dislike someone for saying things that others do not like talking about (“immoral”) doesnt mean that everyone and everything is bad in the country he is from!
How the hell can a president rigg a vote??? Its all on paper and its counted by hundreds of people and can be recounted if needed to… (better than computer system in America)

So shut your mouths and look at your own problems instead of focusing on someone elses

@Weitersway: What are you lol-ing at? Christine Amanpour was in Tehran yesterday. Shes CNN’s chief international correspondent REPORTING from Iran. Also other journalists working for international news agencies who were in Iran before this happened .

@Durak: I agree. Someone would have spoken out by now, nobody is that stupid.

I’m very political although I usually avoid online political forums but I just couldn’t resist this one. I’m not saying we should install a new government in Iran (U.S. made that mistake before) and I’m only a lukewarm supporter of Mousavi, but some of the things said by Durak1234 were just ridiculous.

“How you know it was rigged?”

We don’t, so people shouldn’t say it was like that’s a fact, but there’s speculation because of the theocracy in Iran, the unprecedented turnout, and the vigor of widespread support for Mir-Hossein Mousavi in the days preceding the election. The youth represents a huge proportion of the Iranian population, and according to voter turnout records many showed up at the polls, so the results win and margins for Ahmadinedjad were startling to the international community.

“How you know who the youth likes?”

Watch a news channel. The youth was coming out in huge numbers for Mousavi rallies and clearly favored the change candidate (many of the same slogans and divides occurred in the Iranian election as in the U.S.)

“Dont you think youth likes it when your president says that his country is the best and it will not kiss anyone’s ass? (ahmadinedjad)”

Do you think the youth likes it when the president of the country suppresses peoples rights and freedoms, worsens international relations, and supports policies that have weakened the Iranian economy and made it difficult for many people (including youth) to survive? Bush said that the U.S. was the best and didn’t kiss anybody’s ass and look at how the youth views him.

“How the hell can a president rigg a vote??? Its all on paper and its counted by hundreds of people and can be recounted if needed to… (better than computer system in America)”

Is this a serious question? No, the president probably didn’t rig the vote, but the Council of Guardians in Iran very well may have. This is the institution that actually holds all the power in Iran, and they are in charge of the elections. They are in complete control of how the elections are run, votes are tabulated, and votes are reported, so they could easily have reported whatever they like. Because there’s a lack of free speech in Iran, and the government is so authoritarian, speaking out could result in imprisonment or execution, so that’s a good reason for officials to keep their mouths shut about what did or didn’t go on. Read about authoritarian governments in a history book (PRI in Mexico is a recent example that comes to mind) and you’ll see that when oversight is not allowed it is not a stretch at all for the government to rig a vote.

“So shut your mouths and look at your own problems instead of focusing on someone elses”

I think Iran’s problems are worth a look before they become our own

The righteous anger of Iran over this travesty of democracy gives an unprecedented opportunity for the United States, for Israel, and for the Western World to stand with democracy, freedom, and people of Iran against tyranny and oppression.

Considering the leaders of many of these major nations, such as Netanyahu, Sarkozy, and Merkel, it is likely that most will stand with the people of Iran.

Considering who the Dear Leader of OUR nation is, it’s very likely that he will simply sit back, watch the show, and take notes about what orders to give to ACORN next time.

Proof it was rigged:
