IRS retrieval for financial aid

anyone selected to do this? My parents submitted there taxes 2 weeks ago but it still isn't showing up on the IRS and says that I can't even order it online. Has this happened to anyone? My parents did e-file so it should take about 2 weeks...but it still hasn't shown up.

Anyone experiencing the same situation?

Thanks in advance

I could not use the irs retrieval but i could order a copy of the transcript online. the only problem is that I can’t choose where it gets mailed to which is incredibly stupid

^ Thanks. Are you not qualified to use the online retrieval? I don’t get why I can’t retrieve it or get it from online…! ugh this is so frustrating. Yeah I’ve seen the note that it’s only sent to the address that is on the tax return.

I couldn’t to do it before, but today I did it without any problem.
My parents e-file taxes in March, but paid them on April 16.

Before my mom called IRS:
If your parents owned their taxes, it takes 2 to 3 weeks from the date of cashing your check, not from submitting your e-taxes.
If you didn’t own anything, and you are waiting for tax returns, you shouldn’t have any problem with online retrieval.

^thanks, but what do you mean by paying? i know my dad e-filed on the april 17th but didn’t hear anything about paying…hopefully it will just take couple more days and work out!! thanks

People are divided to 2 groups

First group - self-employed, two jobs, stacks, investments - you didn’t pay enough and you need to pay difference (you own taxes)

Second group - one job, you overpaid taxes, you are waiting for a return check.

I tried to do the income tax retrieval on the IRS site but all I got was the 4506T form (which I have since mailed to my IRS office). How do you retrieve the info online?

^^ I think my dad paid for everything…i have no idea but he said there shouldn’t be a problem with IRS because he got a paper form of his taxes (which meant that it was processed). I’m assuming that I can’t get mine retrieved and ordered yet because my dad filed taxes on April 17th which was the daedline for all taxes. This may cause a delay… Thanks though!
I was wondering when your parents/yourself filed taxes and how long it took for you to retrieve it?

^I don’t know what 4506T form is but I know that you can use the online retrieval tool if you’re qualified. http://faoforms.ucsd.edu/forms/12-13IRSDataRetrievalTutorial.pdf</a>
(I don’t know if you can view such website but it tells you how to retrieve your taxes from IRS to your fafsa online).

yea i was not qualified to use irs retrieval so i had to order one online

A transcript is not available for the year you have requested. Please complete Form 4506-T or contact us at 800-829-1040.

Married Filing Jointly?
If you filed jointly with your spouse, tax account data is listed under the social security number of the primary taxpayer shown on your tax return.

This is what it says after I filled out my dad’s information. Do we have to complete form 4506-T in order to request transcript?
