I have been asked to verify my FAFSA.I recently received my parent's tax transcript in the mail and the school is asking for a "signed photocopy of 2012 tax transcript". The transcript has no line indicating where a signature should go, so do I send it like that or should my parents just sign on the bottom of each page of the transcript?

Call your school

The signature line is at the bottom of the second page of the 1040. It should already have your parents’ signatures on it. Nothing more is needed.

This is a tax return transcript which contains the data from the 1040 but it isn’t a copy of the 1040 so there is no signature line. Just have your parents sign at the bottom. How many pages is it? It would probably be ok to sign the last page only but to be safe they could sign each page if there are only a few.

Edit: This is what a tax return transcript looks like:

I don’t remember ours being that long when we had to get one last year. I would just sign one of the pages if it’s that long.
