<p>Nooooo, that's not what I mean. You got in because a 3.0 is not that bad for Irvine. I was referring to why you got your decision so early.</p>
<p>i dont think ucr is better in any category than other uc's..well actually maybe their business school with an exception to berkeley because no one else has a business school...haha</p>
<p>dangdang142-perhaps you want to study with a particular professor? UCR has Robert Rosenthal, an awesome professer of psychology for instance.</p>
<p>Perhaps this professor who is hailed from Harvard and UCLA, took his own beliefs of self fulfilling prophecy and could make UCR respectable. Yeah i still think no.</p>
<p>Nah, don't generalize like that... ranking is NOT absolute, it is dynamics like fluid flow... and indeed, UCR has some good programs, too! </p>
<p>Personally speaking, their counselors, administration, admission process are very well organized... so are their programs. Also, I receive a lot of letters, poscards, one phone call (counselor asking me if i need any help or any concern and when I call them, they enthusiastically give me so much information...very nice indeed) and even a DVD regarding engineering program from UCR... I really feel that they care about the students and even the applicants who apply.
UCR indeed can rank #1 in the most caring about their students aspect. :D</p>

<p>You're right i did not generalize, UCR has the #2 Business School in the UC system. They do have some good programs indeed.</p>

<p>even though UCR is the only other UC that offers a business program i still wouldn't recommend it over UCSB or UCLA biz econ.</p>
