Yes, I know many people messed up their freshmen and sophomore grades but I was focused even in those years. BUT- despite getting all As because of the final exams I got 3.9 instead of 4.0. My class is VERY competitive and compare to them I am nothing and I am scared that it will be the same when I apply to college later on. I was wondring is there any way I can increase my GPA to at least 4.4-5 by the end of junior year if I get all A’s. So far junior year I am taking 2 Ap classes, 2 DEs and other classes are honors. Is it possible? Also I am sophomore right now and my 3rd quarter gpa 3.9 which is same as my freshmens cumulative GPA (I don’t know my weighted). Anyway, thanks so much and btw I want to get into Ivy League that is why I am asking all these questions! Thank you!
You’re far too paranoid; a 3.9 isn’t too different than a 4.0. I imagine even the most selective schools would care less, as long as you show decent stats in other areas. (SATs, essays, ECs, etc.)
Perfectly fine if unweighted. Weighted, impossible to tell without context.
