Next year I will be a junior and I plan on taking the following classes:

Pre-AP/Honors Pre-Calculus
Pre-AP/Honors Physics 1
AP English Language
AP US History
Band
AP Psychology
AP French Language or AP Environmental Science

At my school you can't take AP courses until you're a junior. Is this too many AP's for my first year?

Thanks for the replies. The classes I’m most worried about are US history and French. My school offers dual credit history so I think I might take that instead of AP. I’m also considering taking Environmental Science instead of French. I’ve heard it’s one of the easier AP’s and it sounds interesting to me.

I don’t think so! I’m a sophomore and am taking a schedule very similar to that. Mine’s:
AP English Language and Comp
AP Chemistry
AP Psychology
AP World History
Honors Algebra II/Trig
Spanish 3 (no honors available)
Orchestra

My school also tries to prevent schedules like yours and mine (sophomores can usually take two APs, to prevent burnout- which hasn’t happened, but I think juniors can take any number), but if you’re willing to put the time in, it’s definitely worth it. Actually, with the time I’ve had to devote this year, my #/100 grade has actually gone up. Good luck! :)
