<p>Whether you think a 740 on Chemistry is too low is for you to decide. If you think you can improve and are willing to take the time and effort to improve, then retake it.</p>
<p>It depends on which colleges you are applying to. If your top colleges don’t allow for score choice, then retaking more than 3 times would be unwise. However, a 740 is rather low for top tier schools. I received a 750 on the chemistry subject, and I am planning on retaking sometime next year because I plan to major in chemistry. If you take practice tests next year and can consistently score higher than 740, then definitely consider retaking.</p>
<p>not at all. i have a 750 and i’m completely content! as long as you have 730+ generally you’re okay (this isn’t what CCers seem to think but this is what I have heard from current Harvard students). you don’t need 800s on every one! they don’t want perfection!</p>
