Is a 0.1 GPA difference a lot?

How much can you increase your gpa by assuming you get the same grades you did the previous year? Will the increased number of classes impact your GPA? currently i have a 5.29/6 weighted and unweighted. What would be a reasonable increase? i currently take all ap/honors classes and one regular.... let's pretend I get one B+

Um… getting the same grades as you did last year will give you the same GPA (it’s called a Grade Point AVERAGE). However, you haven’t told us how many non-honors classes you took last year. You’d have to tell us how many classes you took last year, how many were non-honors, and how many classes you are taking this year…

Not necessarily. (If you got all Bs freshman year and all As sophomore year, your cumulative GPA would be around 3.5. If you continued getting straight As junior year, your GPA would go up to around 3.67.)

Yes.

This isn’t helpful because all high schools have different GPA scales. Most selective colleges will either eyeball your transcript (to see your individual grades) or recalculate your GPA for themselves.

Thanks. My school does it out of a 6 point system. Freshman year i took: honors math, english, honors spanish chemistry, social studies, band, science scholars… idk if im missing anything. Sophomore year: honors math, honors english, ap biology, global, band, science scholars honors, honors spanish. this year: ap chem, honors math , honors english, honors sci schols, honors spanish, band, american

@halcyonheather I assumed that OP was a sophomore this year… (which apparently was incorrect)

Somehow I think if you’re a good enough student to be in all that honors and AP math and science, you really should be able to figure out a simple average problem. Why are you asking us?
