I scored a 1450 on the new SAT. Now I know that test scores are just one of many factors and it won’t make or break me, but I was browsing the result threads for Stanford and the scores just blew me the f**k away, so I just want to know if I will even be considered in admissions with this score. I looked on google and it was apparently just above the 25th percentile, but I wasn’t getting that vibe from the result threads.
The results thread on CC are a tiny portion of all the people accepted. Don’t stress about how you compare to them- of course look, but remember that they don’t represent all the people who were offered admission.
“good enough” what does that mean? You’re applying to a school with a 5% admit rate. What can you or anyone really expect logically? People with scores in the 25th percentiles have some great offsetting features. Does this apply to you? If yes, then apply. If not, you’re simply looking to get a winning lotto ticket.
