Is a 3.0 too low?

Transfer info on Temple University website:
Average GPA for those who transfer is a 3.0.
You don't have to send in your high school transcript and SAT/ACT scores if you have at least 15 transferable credits.
Transfer info on Temple University from college board:
Minimum GPA is 2.5.

I have a 3.0 GPA and 18 transferable credits. I meet the requirements of a transfer student.
I am also going to write an essay.

But a teacher in a class I had told the class that she once had a student that had a 3.8 GPA and didn't get accepted into Temple.

So does this mean that I won't get in? My major is Social Work.

I trust the website more than your teacher, 3.0 should be fine

Okay thanks.

yeah i sincerely doubt that there was someone with a 3.8 who didn’t get into temple. i think you’re fine
