is a 670 on math 2 bad?

since i'm probably gonna major in engineering, should i retake it? that's a 55th percentile score :(

What colleges are you looking at? That makes a huge difference.

If the schools you’re looking at require SAT IIs, I would suggest that you re-take

I suggest that you retake or dont send because that is nat a good score compared to all those amazing 800 or at least 700+ ppl.

should I retake a 730?

Of course.

its one of the easiest tests to get a 800.
and i guess the percentile for 670 is around 55%, so it might be good idea to retake

I see you’re from California. My oldest son got a 670 on the Math II, and got in to the mid-tier UCs (Irvine, Davis and Santa Barbara) and Cal Poly SLO. But he was not applying to be an engineering major (economics or environmental studies as I recall). Engineering is impacted at Cal Poly. If you can get that score higher, the better your chances are.

retake a 730 because thats still a low percentile

If 730 is your first try, then you should retake it. However, multiple attempts will dull your shine on an application.

are you kidding me? if you even have to ask this, then i really hope that you don’t plan on applying to top engineering schools…

It really depends on where you want to go to. That’s what I got when I took the SAT 3 years ago. I’m a Junior at Purdue in the Mechanical Engineering Program (7th in the nation) and doing quite well, so it can be done. But if you looking at MIT, Stanford, Berkeley then retaking would be probably be in your best interest.
