Is a Kaplan/Princeton Review/Testtakers SAT Prep Course worth the money?

I've tried studying on my own, but I feel like I learn best when someone teaches the subject to me. Practice SATs I've done so far have been in the 1800-1900 range, but I want to break at least a 2000. I'm going to be a junior this fall, so I have some time to improve for the real SAT, but I'm having anxiety about the PSAT.

Also, does anyone know how effective the Testtakers prep course is? My family friend took a prep course there and she said it helped a lot. I think it's more expensive than Kaplan and Princeton Review, so I'm a bit wary.

I think you should buy the official book released by College Board.

^ How does that answer his/her question?

I think it’s worth it. Go with Powerscore if it’s available in your area.
