Is a major in Management Information Systems and minor in Accounting "worthless"?

I was told that it is. Also, what careers fields could I go into? Ive been looking into Business Analyst, QA Analyst, Database Administrator, Network Administrator…

No, not worthless. You could do any of those jobs with that degree. If you have the math skills and interest in more technical knowledge then you might want to consider computer science. But if you are more interested in the business side of technology then MIS is fine.

Thanks, how would employers view the minor in Accounting?

A minor in accounting is better than no minor IMO, but the big thing about accounting is eventually taking the exams and becoming a CPA. It is unlikely for you to gain the knowledge for that doing a minor in it.

With a minor in accounting you would need a master’s degree to become a CPA in many states.
