Is a "mismatched" candidate still one that stands a chance?

I have good essays, strong ECs, strong recommendations, my own business, and a competitive SAT score, but my GPA itself, while not terrible, isn’t as great as I’d like it to be; and my school doesn’t rank using a weighted GPA so it’s even worse.

Did I waste my time/money filling out this application? Do I still have a chance?

Why don’t you tell us after you hear the results? Go do something productive. Second guessing yourself literally hours before you hear? Why? Did you feel better? Look: if you’re halfway a viable Brown candidate, you’ll have achieved incredible things already and will have incredible things to look fwd to in your next 4 yrs. Go have some fun – you deserve it.

Yay i got rejected

Still wanted to say, there is always a chance. I don’t believe I fit the Brown culture at all. Kinda quiet, not really anything to touch on the humanities side, shit for EC’s (in my honest opinion), seriously lacking in the pop culture aspect, little motivation or direction (aka I’d get rekt by the freedom at Brown) still somehow got admitted.

Same. I’m still confused on how I got in over the other kids at my school. :stuck_out_tongue:
@lelelelelel you’ve got plenty of strong points! I’m sure you’ll find a good school that fits your needs.
