Is an internship at a savings back even worth it?

I have been trying to find an internship in finance or in government. Most places won’t let me apply unless I am 17 or in college. I was able to find something at a savings bank that is across the street so I can walk myself there because my mom doesn’t want to drive me anywhere, not like there is anything unless I am in college.

This is not a rant, simply my opinions.

I don’t understand your question. I don’t see anything wrong with interning at a bank; any internship is beneficial on an application. Ask the savings bank if they’ll allow you to intern there; don’t assume they won’t accept you because of your age.

@pinklinks I don’t understand my questions either.

I agree with above ^^^ any internship would be valuable in terms of major related job experience and something different to list on your college application.

Thanks for the info @Gumbymom and @pinklinks

Is this a special program for high school students, or just something they’re offering you? Do you know what you would be doing? Would you be paid or receive academic credit?
